Arugula (also called ruchetta) is a herbaceous, annual plant in the cruciferous family.
It is mainly intended for sale as a bunch crop.
Cultivation is done with mulching (perforated cloth that prevents weeds). Irrigation is done through the use of drip wings so that wetting the foliage of the plants is avoided to limit damage to the plants themselves and thus reduce the use of pesticides.
Harvesting is exclusively by hand and a very careful control is carried out already at the harvesting stage, selecting the best product.
This technique allows any foreign bodies to be removed immediately.
